G Miles and the Band of Helping Hands

Band front man Greg Mebs is the founder of the organization, Band of Helping Hands. He has spent most of his adult life as a child advocate. He believes that it is music that helped him in the healing process of trauma he experienced in his own life and helped saved him from a life of addiction. All of the money made by the band is used to change the lives of children and young adults through programs that afford them opportunities they may not have otherwise.

Without You by G. Miles and the Band of Helping Hands

Audiences light up when they hear G. Miles & The Hitmen. This 6-piece group has a diverse style, ranging from traditional, down-home blues to swinging R & B. Miles has 3 CD’s under his belt and has been praised by both local & national reviewers. The July-Aug 1999 issue of Blues Revue Magazine said Miles “sounds like a soulful cross between Delbert McClinton & The Eagles Glenn Frey” and compared his guitar playing to that of Santana and the Allman Brothers

All of this history & talent allows G. Miles & the Hitmen to make their mark as a high-powered band which incorporates jump blues, R & B, Jazzy jams & blues rock to put on a mesmerizing performance.

Miles had three CD releases, and another CD is currently in the making. “Soul Drifitn” and “More Than One Way to Skin A Cat” are a collection of talent, showcasing (all but one) original tunes written by Miles himself. The most recent CD, “ Strange Kinda Thang”, incorporates the Hitmen and other great musicians such as Carl Weathersby. Combine these two accomplishments with spiritual soul and you have a group that is certain to make a mark in the blues world: You have G. Miles & The Hitmen.
