GREG MEBS • G. MILES

A lifetime
of blues.

A lifetime of helping kids. Music is more than what Greg plays — it is part of how he healed, how he built community, and how Band of Helping Hands came to be.

GREG & PATTI MEBS

Partners in the whole adventure.

Greg's story is also Patti's story. Together they founded, owned and operated Lucille's Deli & Blues in Covington, built Mebs Consulting, and founded Band of Helping Hands. Patti has been part of the work, the music and the mission all along.

Their shared thread is community: creating places where people gather, helping young people move forward, and using the blues as a force for connection.

THE ROAD TO BOHH

One story. Several chapters.

1995

Lucille's Deli & Blues

Greg and Patti opened Lucille's in Covington's Latonia neighborhood. It became a beloved Northern Kentucky and Greater Cincinnati live-music destination, known for packed rooms, food and blues — often with Greg himself on guitar.

G. MILES

The Hitmen & the stage

As G. Miles, Greg and The Hitmen built their own musical history, opening for artists including Delbert McClinton, Buddy Guy, Edgar Winter and The Fabulous Thunderbirds.

ADVOCACY

Work centered on young people

Greg and Patti's work extended beyond music through Mebs Consulting. Greg has spent much of his adult life as a child advocate, carrying that purpose into the next chapter.

BOHH

The music funds the mission

Greg and Patti founded Band of Helping Hands, bringing the music and the advocacy together. Proceeds generated by the band help children and young adults access opportunities they might not otherwise have.

THE BLUES MAN

Still on stage.
Still giving back.

NORTHERN KENTUCKY MUSIC HALL OF FAME

Greg remains G. Miles — guitarist, singer, bandleader and the musical heartbeat of BOHH. The house band opens the room for guest artists and connects every show to the organization behind it.

WHY IT MATTERS

The music helped change Greg's life.
Now he uses the music to help change theirs.

Greg believes music played an important role in helping him heal from trauma and move beyond addiction. BOHH turns that experience outward — using live music to create opportunities for children and young adults.

Great Blues. Changing Lives.

Greg's story explains the “why.” The young people BOHH serves show what the mission can do.
